There are a ton of programs that you can get that will help you out with screencasting, and most of them you have to pay for.
But there is one program that is simple to use, produces great results, and best of all it’s free.

Camstudio is the most well-known free screen recorder with pros and cons. Personally I use DemoCreator because I need edit my screencast and publish it in different video formats. If you don’t want to pay for making screencast, those web-based screen recording services are also great choices.
